I guess it's car seat week here at Baby Chic 101, since I've seen a bunch of really cool ones this week. Above is the new Britax Boulevard CS, which comes out in October. The Boulevard CS will officially introduce Britax's new Click & Safe snug harness indicator, which affirms that the baby is snug by audibly clicking when the harness straps are fastened.
Britax created indicator as a responds to statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that found 59 percent of all harness straps to be dangerously loose. Loose straps on seats cause the child's body to not be properly held back during a crash, which can cause whiplash and other injuries. In the worse case scenario, ejection from their seats.
The Boulevard CS also features Britax’s revolutionary True Side Impact Protection with deep side walls and head support to provide advanced protection in side impact collisions. As we spoke about yesterday with the Peg Perego seat, most serious injuries to babies are caused by side impact crashes. So it's very important to make sure the seat you buy has some type of side impact protection feature.
Babies R Us stores nationwide are actually getting the Boulevard CS a bit early, so check your local stores to see when they arrive.
